Remote Service Call - $40/Hour (Half Hour Minimum Charge)

  • Why wait for turnaround times?? We can fix many hardware or software conflicts without having to pick up your PC for service!
  • A secure and encrypted connection lets us administer your computer over the Internet!
  • Remote Service is not available for catastrophic hardware failures or problems that are not allowing the computer to boot properly.

Virus/SpyWare/MalWare Removal Service

  • Within Rochester: Flat Fee of $65.  You are not charged extra for diagnostics, labor, pickup or delivery.
  • Outside of Rochester (within a 30 mile radius): Flat Fee of $100.  You are not charged extra for diagnostics, labor, pickup or delivery.
  • PLEASE NOTE:  If additional issues are found (data corruption, lost files, etc.) due to corruption, you will be contacted before any further services take place.

Service rates

Diagnostic Fee - $50

  • Includes pick up and delivery of your PC and our work guarantee.
  • If no replacement parts are required for further repairs, you do not pay additional labor!
  • In the event that replacement parts are needed, the following labor rates below apply in addition to the diagnostic fee.

"Tier 1" Labor Rate - $40/Hour
(One Hour Minimum Charge)

  • Basic Computer Troubles Not Requiring Advanced Diagnostics
  • Video Card/Processor Upgrades
  • System Memory Upgrades

"Tier 2" Labor Rate - $70/Hour
(One Hour Minimum Charge)

  • Major System Software and/or Hardware Problems
  • System Reformatting and Operating System Replacement or Rebuild
  • Major Component Replacements (e.g. Processor, Motherboard)

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

  1. Complete an online service request or custom build using our links, or call us for a personalized solution.
  2. We will schedule the best time and date with you, and arrive at your location to pick up the equipment in need of repair.  
  3. Please have the equipment unplugged and ready for transport prior to arrival.
  4. The equipment will be brought to Med City TechWorks.
  5. We will diagnose the equipment and send an estimate to you.
  6. Once you agree, we will proceed with the repair and send an invoice upon completion. 
  7. We will contact you once the job is completed and schedule the best time for delivery on your schedule.
  8. You may either pay online with a credit card or bank account, or at the time of delivery using a credit card or cash.

FULL PICK-UP AND DELIVERY SERVICE

  • Within Rochester City:
    • You are not charged extra for pick-up and delivery.
  • Outside of greater Rochester (within 30 miles):
    • Tier 1 labor rates once the technician leaves the office and arrives at your home or business.  
    • After the PC is picked up, you are only charged for the repair process (associated labor costs), not transport back to Med City TechWorks.

Service Guarantee & Expressed Warranty

Med City TechWorks is proud of the job we perform and guarantee our work in all situations.

  • Custom Built PCs (Home or Business) - We guarantee our build process with a 1-year service warranty against hardware failures.  
    • Avoid the headache of dealing with the part manufacturer's first year warranty by letting us handle it for you.  
    • We will repair or replace all failed hardware components for you during the first year at no extra charge.
    • Any faulty software problems not associated with the build process which require replacement will be treated as a normal service call.
  • Upgrades, Repair and Service Orders - We guarantee our work with a 48-hour service guarantee against software and hardware problems.
    • When you trust us with the upgrade, repair, or service of your PC or laptop and the same issue arises within 48 hours of delivery, we will pick-up, diagnose and deliver your equipment at no charge.
    • If defective hardware or a faulty software component that requires replacement is found during diagnostics, normal tier 1 or 2 labor rates apply, depending on the level of work required.
